Peer Support Group Commences in Brisbane on 20 November 2016

We are pleased to announce that this month we will commence monthly Peer Support Group meetings in Brisbane. These meetings are designed to enable current and former police officers who are doing it tough to come together in a confidential, safe place to share their experiences and gain discreet support from others who have walked in their shoes.

Peer support groups are built on trust, shared experience, empathy and mutual respect. Research has shown that attendees of peer support groups can benefit through improvement in symptoms, self-esteem and social function as well as larger social support networks.

So if you are struggling and in need of support we encourage you to come along and meet others on the same journey. You are not alone. Together we can make a real difference in each other’s lives.

The first meeting will be held in Brisbane on the evening of Tuesday the 29th of November. For confidential venue details and further information please contact Mark at help@bluehope.org.au.
